Seoul-ful Sisters
Every week, I share stories from remarkable women whose journeys offer motivation, relatability, and practical insight—whether you’re a high school senior like me, a graduate student finding your path, or a seasoned professional. Through live interviews conducted in English, Korean, and even French, I strive to capture candid, personal, humorous, and deeply engaging conversations. You’ll hear experiences you may never have imagined: the hard truths of being a female venture capitalist, the behind-the-scenes realities of launching a French-Korean fusion restaurant, and actionable advice on balancing a demanding legal career with motherhood. From business, law, cinema, perfumery, and fashion to writing and beyond, Seoulful Sisters is here to satisfy your curiosity about how today’s emerging female leaders are changing the world—one bold step at a time.

Welcome back to this week's episode! Thank you for being patient with me last week. I appreciate all your support:)
She’s not your ordinary judge. She’s a talented artist, a mother of two college-aged boys, a devoted best friend to a mini poodle, and a staunch believer in the mantra: “Try Everything!”
Talking with Ms. Kim Sun-Ah felt like juggling multiple lives at once—because that’s exactly what she does. Yet in every role, she finds joy, purpose, and passion: whether she’s making life-altering decisions in the courtroom, chatting with her (often unresponsive) sons, or quietly sketching a beautiful landscape.
Our conversation left me with a much-needed reminder: being busy or burdened with responsibility is no excuse for constant stress or irritability. Happiness and fulfillment can take root almost anywhere, no matter what we’re doing, if we approach life with the right mindset.
I hope you walk away from this conversation with even a little extra motivation to take on your days with renewed energy. At the end of the day, we each have the power to make every part of our lives feel meaningful and enjoyable if we’re willing to take that extra, sometimes difficult, step to notice the good--in both people and situations.
I'll see you guys soon with episode 25. Until then, stay positive and Seoul-ful!

Happy New Year! I can’t believe we’ve made it to 2026. Thank you all for supporting me and Seoulful Sisters throughout 2025—I truly can’t put into words how grateful I am 🤍
To kick off the new year strong, I’m so excited to welcome Natalie Huh, a trial lawyer based in Silicon Valley. Her path to where she is today was anything but linear—and she shares why every twist and turn was worth it. From starting in finance, earning an MBA, and now representing Korean companies in complex litigation, Natalie brings a rare depth of experience working across industries, cultures, and people.
I hope her story reminds you that it’s okay to let yourself follow what truly excites you—and that stepping “off-path” once in a while can lead you exactly where you’re meant to be!
I'll see you guys next week with Episode 24. In the meantime, stay Seoul-ful!

Welcome back, everyone, to episode 22! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and an overall restful, happy end to the year. I want to thank you guys for supporting Seoulful Sisters' growth. Each one of you truly means a lot to me:)
In today's episode, I sit down with Hannah Oh—founder of Article 6—to talk about what it really means to build impact inside (and outside) big systems. We discuss her leap from global corporate leadership to entrepreneurship, how food, climate, and policy quietly shape everyday life, and what it’s like to navigate ambition, motherhood, and uncertainty at once. A grounded, honest conversation about power, patience, and choosing long-term impact over loud success.
Stay tuned for next week's episode with a female lawyer working from Silicon Valley!

Welcome back to Episode 21! I’m so excited to welcome Ms. Choi, CEO of Honest Seoul, a luxury jewelry brand creating lab-grown diamond pieces both online and offline.
What began as a single visit to Jongno Street—an antique district in Seoul brimming with master craftspeople—sparked her vision to spotlight often-overlooked talent within Korea’s beauty and fashion industry. That moment set her on a path not just to build a brand, but to challenge long-held assumptions about value, craftsmanship, and sustainability in a traditional market.
This episode is for anyone seeking inspiration from bold women leading change with passion, intelligence, and vision. Whether you’re carving your own path or simply love stories of innovation and resilience, this conversation with Clara will leave you thinking bigger—guaranteed.
Stay tuned for episode 22, and happy early Christmas and New Years!

Welcome back to episode 20! If you've been here since day one, thank you for sticking with me, and if you're new, it won't hurt to stay:) I promise!
In this episode, I sit down for an insightful and grounding conversation with Nina Clarke, host of Nina’s Got Good News, an Emmy Award–winning journalist, and a former producer at major American news networks. From navigating a demanding career to embracing life as a working mom, Nina shares wisdom that resonates across generations and paths.
Whether you’re a high school or college student, a working mother, or an aspiring businesswoman, Nina offers thoughtful advice that’s both practical and deeply human. Our conversation was a reminder of how easily we overlook the power of everyday kindness—and how profoundly meaningful it can be to lead with compassion, joy, and intention.

Welcome back to Episode 19! Today, I sit down for a truly one-of-a-kind conversation with Hani Oh, the founder and perfumer behind Heroes of Korea—a niche fragrance brand that brings Korean historical figures to life through scent. From her earliest spark of inspiration to the creative process behind each perfume and the exciting projects on her horizon, Hani invites us on a vivid, imaginative journey of self-discovery and brand-building.
I had never even heard of King Jeong-jo before this interview, but now I’m absolutely hooked on his legacy. I highly recommend hopping onto the Heroes of Korea website to explore these fascinating pieces of K-history for yourself. As Hani beautifully puts it, “Everyone is a hero.”

Welcome back to episode 18! Today, I have a very special guest, Moon YeoJung, Korea's first doctor-turned investor (and working mom), who has carved out a career that refuses to stay in just one lane. She opens up about her transition from treating patients to evaluating startups, and the fears, doubts, and breakthroughs that shaped that leap. We talk about medical AI, her early conviction in Lunit, and how she learned to trust her instincts as both a scientist and an investor. As a woman in industries where female leadership is still rare, she shares the moments that strengthened her voice. And for our younger listeners, she leaves emotionally resonating messages and professional advice that you will sure want to replay:)!

We’re back with Episode 16! In this episode, I had an absolute blast chatting with Emily Liu, a Berkshire School and Dartmouth College graduate who’s now working in biomedical engineering. From founding her high school’s first thrift store, Swap Shop, to co-leading Dartmouth’s Humanitarian Engineering Club, Emily has been blending creativity and STEM savvy since ninth grade.
Our conversation reminded me that true innovation and self-discovery happen when we integrate the humanities, arts, math, and sciences—not when we isolate them. Whether you’re a high schooler, a college student, or a recent graduate like Emily, I hope this episode inspires you to embrace all sides of yourself and find balance beyond a one-dimensional path. Life is what you make of it!

Hey everyone! Welcome to Episode 15!I want to start by sincerely apologizing for missing last week’s upload and thanking you all for your patience.
I’m truly honored to welcome Professor Nak Hee Hyun, who currently teaches Civil Procedure at Sungkyunkwan University in Seoul, South Korea. As a former judge, mother of two, and graduate of Yonsei University and Harvard Law School, Nak-Hee brings an incredibly balanced and insightful perspective on how to stay grounded while juggling multiple roles and responsibilities.
Even if you’re not studying law, there’s so much in this episode for everyone — from reflections on identity and resilience to Nak-Hee’s thoughts on trusting your instincts (though not always!) over those spiraling thoughts we all know too well.
